Lolly leaving the club on a free transfer.

Portlaoise native and long time Young Ireland servant Jason Lalor has decided his time in the famous green and gold has come to an end.

Feeling that he is pushing on in years the 29 year old full forward has decided now would be the right time to spread his wings and join a club in the All British league in London.

The club will never forget the great services the man has provided us in his three years of pulling on the famous jersey. Perhaps the highlight of his stint with the club was the journey mans solo 65 yard run beating 20 or so defenders before planting the ball in the onion bag in last years championship final to seal the win. Being such a humble man we have heard very little of his heroic feats on the pitch such is his character.

Although not yet signed up to a club in London we hear he's been in talks with a number of the larger more succesful clubs as it is his want to bag some more medals before his retirement which can't be far off.

On behalf of all involved with the club we would like to say thanks to Lolly for all the memories and great times and best of luck back in the northern hemisphere.
